The Project Board - Ampere Association

The Project Board

The Project Board is made up of the Project Executive, Senior Supplier(s), and Senior User(s). The Executive owns the Business Case and therefore makes the final decision on anything discussed.

Other roles such as the Project Manager, Project Assurance, and Project Support are invited by the Project Board to attend meetings and provide updates.

The Project Board is accountable for the health and success of the project. They provide support to the Project Manager, understanding plans and progress, authorizing funding for the project, and ensuring that communications are taking place, as documented, between the Project Team and the Stakeholders. The Project Board will also provide direction on risks and issues.

The Project Manager will bring risks and issues to the Project Board who will then review them and approve changes to project planning (i.e.  timelines, product scope, budget, and quality). The Project Board is therefore the change authority to any issues raised by the Project Manager.
