Team Leads/Managers

A project may have multiple Team Leads who are managing different products for the project.

The Team Lead(s)/Manager(s) is responsible for the production of their specific area of the project as defined and directed by the Project Manager. Team Leads oversee the development of the product according to the Team Plan they produce.

They report progress to the Project Manager via Product Status Reports.

Using the Management By Exception principle, the Team Lead will ensure that ‘tolerances’ are not breached (more on tolerances later) within their portion of the project. If tolerances are breached (i.e. in terms of cost, time, quality, or scope) they will report these issues to the Project Manager.
