Starting up a Project

A project can start in a variety of ways. It may be a formal government mandate that is passed down to an organisation. It may be an email from a CEO or even a verbal request. Regardless, the purpose of the Starting up a Project stage is to gather information to determine if and how the project should proceed and at what cost. Ultimately, this stage determines whether the project is worthwhile and viable enough to proceed to the initiating a project stage.
