Corporate, Programme Management, Customer

The project is initially mandated from the ‘Corporate, Programme Management or Customer’ level. 

Project mandates can come from a variety of places. For a government organization it could come from government. For a small start-up or a larger company it could come from the CEO or from an external customer.

The mandate defines the project and the Executive and Project Manager are identified. These roles then begin the ‘Starting up a Project’ stage (discussed in a later lesson).
