Communications Management Strategy

The communications management strategy describes what communication will take place during the project, who is responsible for each communication, and the frequency of them. Examples of communications might be:

The communications management strategy can come in the form of a document, a spreadsheet, or for smaller projects can be included in a section of the PID. 

It typically includes:

  • An outline of the communication methods to be used
  • Communication tools
  • Documentation to be produced in communications
  • Timing of communication activities
  • Roles and responsibilities
  • Stakeholder analysis

Information needs for interested parties (this could include any accessibility requirements or pieces of information that must be included in a report for a specific interested party)
