Course Overview:
Take Charge for Change is an interactive course that guides Indigenous youth in using digital storytelling as a tool for advocacy. It guides them through 5 modules on how to share their truth, protect their mental well-being, and turn online views into real-world action. By the end, they will have a personal Digital Toolkit to guide them in leading with their heart, knowledge and their tech.
Course Objectives:
The course is divided into 5 modules.
- Youth will gain a greater understanding that their digital presence can be a powerful extension of their cultural identity.
- Youth will have a template and a deeper understanding of how to share their own stories.
- Youth will possess a practical “toolkit” to share their stories safely, ethically, and purposefully.
