Course Overview:
This short course gives an overview of the Educational Technology field and how it can be used in language revitalization. The course is divided into 4 modules, which focus on one of these questions
- What is Educational Technology?
- Why should we use Educational Technology?
- When should we use Educational Technology?
- How should we use Educational Technology?
The audience of this course is free to choose which question they want to know more about or which modules apply to their professional practice. The short course endeavours to equip language revitalization professionals with the understanding of core concepts of Educational Technology and crucial questions they could ask themselves in selecting appropriate Educational Technology tools for their classroom.
Ultimately, this short course is a space for language revitalization instructors to share and start a conversation about opportunities and challenges with the incorporation of Educational Technology in their classrooms.
