Course Overview:

This course is designed to introduce grades 8-12 learners to Artificial Intelligence, or AI for short. This course focuses on what AI is, its effects, and how it has evolved over the years. Learners will discover how to spot AI generated content, while using informed discernment and fact checking techniques to determine the validity of content posted online.

Course Objectives:

By the end of this course, learners will be able to:

  • Understand how AI-generated content is created.
  • Identify key characteristics of misinformation and disinformation.
  • Learn methods to fact-check and verify credible sources.
  • Practise responsible sharing habits in an online space.
  • Develop strategies to help protect personal data and online privacy.
