Kawartha Lakes, ON – The second annual STEAM Fest promises to be a bigger, bolder celebration of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM), and will be held at Ampere’s Lindsay Makerspace and Skills Hub at 12 Peel Street, on August 22 from 12pm to 4 pm.
The free event is jam-packed with hands-on activities, experiments and challenges, live music, deliciously diverse food, cultural displays and exhibits, giveaways, and family-friendly fun.
This year, we’re happy to have the New Canadians Centre Peterborough (NCC) joining us as one of our many partners.
NCC is a non-profit charitable organization dedicated to supporting immigrants, refugees and other newcomers in the City of Kawartha Lakes, Haliburton County, City and County of Peterborough and Northumberland County. Their mission is to empower people who are new to Canada, so they can be recognized as equal and valued members of Canadian society. NCC provides leadership to cultivate their meaningful economic, social, and cultural inclusion in our community.
