Kawartha Lakes, Ontario – In August 2025, Ampere held the first annual STEAM Fest, transforming our Lindsay Makerspace and the corner of William and Peel Streets into a vibrant celebration of creativity, innovation and community for people of all ages.
This year, STEAM Fest is back, bigger and bolder, on Saturday, August 22. It’s a free event for everyone, with some exciting and incredibly diverse attractions and additions.
We’re confirming details, and we’ll be adding some exciting announcements – performers, exhibitors, vendors, activities and special attractions – to the STEAM Fest event page throughout the summer, but you can rest assured that the second annual STEAM Fest will include:

About Ampere
For over a decade, Ampere (formerly the Pinnguaq Association) has partnered with rural, remote and Indigenous communities to provide access to science, technology, engineering, art and math (STEAM) education and opportunities. Founded in Pangnirtung, Nunavut, Ampere applies a Lifecycle approach to ensure that its supporting learners at every age, and every stage of life. Ampere offers programming directly through Makerspaces in Iqaluit, Nunavut, Bathurst, New Brunswick, and in the Kawartha Lakes, Ontario, and works directly with community partners, social organizations, governmental funders and educational institutions from coast to coast to coast.
